The male students’ rough talk was another trial the girls had to face. The girls spoke about negative comments concerning their bodies. ‘‘Are you just lying there, trying to get a tan on that fat body of yours’’, a boy hurtfully said to one of the girls when she once wore a bikini on the lawn outside the boarding school buildings. Another time when being painted as a circle, she got really depressed: the boy had indicated that she was so fat that she soon would be ‘‘all round’’. ‘‘The boys are so body-fixed’’, another girl said, ‘‘and they are talking about pretty girls all the time.ª
