Violent crime

This is one top-10 list Thunder Bay and area residents could probably do without.
Information released Wednesday by Statistics Canada indicates the immediate Thunder Bay area remains the fourth most violent in the country (Canada).

In the category of total violent crime, the Saskatchewan cities of Saskatoon and Regina led the way with a rate of 1,606 and 1,546 crimes per 100,000. Saint John was third at 1,313, followed by Thunder Bay (1,308) and Halifax (1,261).
